We wanted every Colombian home with a dog on Christmas to have a Nexgard gift under the tree.
Many Colombian households already see dogs as part of the family, not just pets. But as the holiday season kicks into high gear, we sometimes see them being overlooked in the hustle and bustle of the celebrations
Solution
With this campaign, we want to remind people to show their love for their dogs and keep them close—during the holidays and beyond.
To do this, we want to:
- Encourage dog owners to include their pets in the holiday fun and traditions
- Remind them that dogs are family, not just pets
- Tap into the emotional spirit of the season to highlight how short but meaningful their lives are
- And the best way to keep them safe: Nexgard
Christmas is about family and connection, but it’s also a commercial season where messages of promotions, discounts, and prices overwhelm us.
That’s why we want to shift toward the original meaning of the holidays and make an emotional connection.
Becoming part of the sales-driven landscape risks getting lost in the noise and fading into the background, especially at a time when everyone’s trying to get their message across.
The best present is to always have them present
This concept conveys:
- Gifts are one of the most anticipated parts of Christmas, but the best gift of all is our furry companions.
- The best moments are when they’re by our side in everything we do.
- There’s no greater wish than wanting our dogs to live forever, and we’ll do everything we can to make that happen.
- We only have the present, and we should make the most of it.
- The greatest gift in life is your dog, and Nexgard is the best gift you can give them, as it covers all the points mentioned above.
The goal is to highlight moments during the holiday season where our furry friends are included and actively taking part Visually, we’ll pair them with lettering that fits the Christmas vibe, making sure everything looks cohesive with the scene It’s also ideal to creatively incorporate the product within these compositions whenever possible.
Staying true to the brand, we try to include blue elements in our holiday themes whenever we can. We want to highlight all the moments this season where our furry friends are part of the fun:
Family gatherings, vacations, novenas (a tradition in Colombia), and more.
Through this campaign, we also want to raise awareness about important issues that come up during the holidays, like fireworks, responsible pet ownership, and the pets given as Christmas gifts that can end up abandoned in the hands of careless owners.
We want to share stories where the dogs show how much they want to be a part of Christmas.
